Spring is Almost Here

With winter staring us right in the eye, spring may seem like a while away but it is never too early to start preparing. Many of us, when thinking about the past, tend to think that the style back then is now out of date. That is not always true and from my opinion they never truly go away because there is always someone who is keeping the style alive or will soon bring it back. This brings me to introduce you to the chic retro look that you can either play down a little by adding modern pieces to it or play it up by completely adding the retro look to your style. With the retro look comes the bright colors associated with spring but don't forget your metallic either. Adding a pieces that have metallic colors can always make your outfit have that pop that you are looking for in order to stand out in a crowd. This also lets you show that individuality in times where fashion has lost its spark in your environment.

Winter is Here

As the weather starts to cool, many of us are layering up on our clothing. My favorite part of winter is all of the many ways you can accessorize with just one scarf. Adding a scarf to any outfit is almost a guaranteed success for a wonderful look. Picking a neutral scarf to go with a chic comfy outfit is one of my first picks. But you can also play up a every day look with a vibrant patterned scarf. What is a scarf without comfortable stylish boots? As soon as the temperature starts to fall I can promise you I am always wearing a pair of boots. I wear them because they give winter a more "wintery" feel to any location where you live and living in Florida really calls for it.A perennial favorite, denim button-down shirts in medium-to-dark washes are also super flattering.

Jean Jackets Are Back?

Hearing criticism can never be easy. When you introduce something that may threaten someone’s sense of normal, people can lash out very hard. I often wonder what a person must have had to endure for their style to catch on. How many people told them they didn't look good?  Or how long did it take for someone to also dress the same way and how long did the trend last? Looking back into the 30’s when Levi made his first jean jacket I wonder the criticism he received. The jean jacket trend lasted for 30 years before dying off in the late 1960’s. This fact amazes me because wearing the same style of jacket for 30 years really says a lot about human’s ability to follow. Growing up I never would have thought that the jean jacket trend would come back, and boy it can back with a force. Going to high school you can see a variety of many different styles but now they have one thing in common. This would be the jean jacket. Looking around my environment at home and at school I have noticed that the jean jacket is being used with almost every style around me. I like the look of pairing a dark denim jacket with a bright floral dress and a pair of neutral sandals. There is also the jean vest that has popped back into our lives as well. You can pair this with almost any t-shirt or tank top. This is great because it fit into the dress code at school and you look great as well. With the vest I would wear a pair of jeans that don't clash with the color of your vest and top it off with a pair of tennis shoes or Toms.

Must Have Back to School Bag

Chic is now the new Jansport. Carrying around a purse and a binder for school has been outdated for a while. Not only unfashionable it is also a lot to keep up with. Trying to find a bag to carry all of our personal things as well as your school supplies can be very challenging. Many young adult females who are either going back to high school or college this fall have been carrying quite a very cute and functional bag. With this new design this bag has many pockets as well as a mixture of looks that can go with anyone's personality. I personally carry one of these bags and absolutely love it. The bag is very big without looking bulky or being to heave to carry on your back. The pockets and zippers let me carry everything I need and I can also carry my water bottle without having to worry about leaving it in my last class. And with the variety I can find one to go with everything or find one to go with just one outfit. The backpacks design gives it an old fashioned look without it being outdated in the fashion industry. You can also use this bag for travel as well as school, everything for this bag is so versatile. I have to say I think everyone should have one of these bags.

Fashion Week

Most girls have a hidden place for their style. Speaking for myself I usually wont tell anyone where I got an item. Not because I feel like being rude but because its simply my style and how I express myself. I wouldn't want anyone to copy something that isn't them. But I do love to look at other fashion trends and see what I can throw into my own design. If you are looking for a great fashion show or a great girls night here is a great opportunity for a wonderful day out and about. Our generation is more likely to go out to the mall and go shopping instead of just going to one store then driving to another. Not only is it convenient but its a great chance to catch an awesome show. Fashion week is here at The Mall at Millenia! All week shops inside the mall will have fashion shows, in-stores activities and trunk shows, guest appearances, champagne receptions, and more.

In-Between Season is Here

Its August, which means fall is almost here! But as we know its still summer, especially if your living in a place that still feels like it. Finding something that not only works with in-between season and still keeps us happy with the coverage we need for the temperature change can be difficult for compromise. Color and vibrant patterns are my favorite look for summer. For fall I find that a more sophisticated look fits the best for this season. For the in-between season I recommend paring a plain blouse with a vibrant color of bottoms. You want a plain blouse because your already drawing the eye to your amazing looking pants and you wouldn't want to over do it. These bottoms could range from stick skinny to a big flare, whatever you want to express your own individuality. Now comes the time for shoe talk. I don't know about you but shoes  are life for me. Again you don't want to draw too much attention but you also want something that pops. I would pair this outfit with a nude color for the shoe (depending on the color of your blouse).
